OBIT LA FON, LILLIAN LEE KIRK

LA FON, Lillian Lee Kirk, of Bountiful, Utah, passed away Monday, December 27, 1993 at her home after suffering a stroke on September 17, 1993. Lillian was born on March 5, 1920 in Newport a daughter of William Everett and Cora Lee Myers Kirk. She married Eugene Hobert La Fon in October 1939. The marriage was later solemnized in the Washington D.C. Latter Day Saint Temple. She was a devoted wife and mother and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Eugene La Fon; a son, Eddie (Ruthie) of Charleston, W.Va.; a daughter, Betty (Sterling) Van Orden of Bountiful, Utah; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edna Peterson, Radford, Thelma Johnson, Pearisburg, Carrie Greene, Narrows; one brother, James Everett Kirk, Abingdon. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, 1993 at 11 a.m. at the Bountiful 8th Ward Chapel, 1800 East Mueller Park Road. Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lakeview Memorial Estates Mortuary, 1640 East Lakeview Drive in Bountiful, Utah. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Estates.
