BUCKNER, CARL AUSTIN, 76, OF BENT MOUNTAIN,

BUCKNER, Carl Austin, 76, of Bent Mountain, died Tuesday, December 28, 1993, in a local nursing home. He was a retired engineer with the N&W Railway. He is survived by his loving wife, Mabel King Buckner; one daughter, Jane Fisher, Roanoke; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Joyce Buckner, Roanoke, Michael and Karen Buckner, Buchanan; six grandchildren, Christopher Buckner, Carman Moore, Kimberly Claybrook, Eric Buckner, Michelle Buckner, Jillian Buckner; nine great-granchildren; two nieces. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Raymond B. Powers officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's South Chapel.
