LAPRADE, GENEVA BRADLEY, 90, OF ROCKY MOUNT,
LaPRADE, Geneva Bradley, 90, of Rocky Mount, died Wednesday, December 29,
1993, in Richfield Nursing Home in Salem. She was preceded in death by her
husband, William E. LaPrade and a granddaughter, Susan Bradley LaPrade. She is
survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William E. Jr. and Carol LaPrade,
Bluff City, Tenn., Joseph Bradley and Mary Jo LaPrade of Christiansburg; three
sisters, Mrs. May B. Howell of Henry, Va., Mrs. Sciota B. Ramsey of Rocky
Mount, Frances B. Hale of Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews; seven
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Rocky Mount
Baptist Church serving as the superintendent of the youth department; a
graduate of Radford College; and former school teacher; also a member of the
Order of the Eastern Star, Rocky Mount Chapter #141. Funeral services will be
conducted 2 p.m. Friday, December 31, 1993, at the Lynch Funeral Home Chapel
with the Dr. Joe Bryant and Rev. Billy Shively officiating. The family will
receive friends Thursday, December 30, 1993, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lynch Funeral
Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that donations be made to the
Rocky Mount Baptist Church, 117 Church St., N.W., Rocky Mount, Va. 24151.
