813 COATS FROM CAMPAIGN

A lot of area kids are warmer this winter, thanks to the efforts of the Greater Blacksburg Chamber of Commerce's Retail Merchants Committee and A Cleaner World dry cleaners.

The "Give a Kid a Coat Campaign" collected 813 coats of all sizes donated by area residents.

The coats were repaired and dry cleaned, then delivered to the Blacksburg Childrens Clothing Bank and the Montgomery County Christmas Store.

The merchants committee got some help and support from Blacksburg High School, Blacksburg United Methodist Church and Blacksburg Baptist Church. All three promoted the drive and served as collection points.
