There will be a big difference for Southern Mississippi football fans this fall - five games on campus.

Athletic director Bill McLellan has released the Golden Eagles' 1994 football schedule, and for the first time since 1987, five games will be played in Hattiesburg.

The 11-game schedule features home games against Virginia Tech, Memphis State, Southwestern Louisiana, Division I-AA Samford and Tulsa.

The Golden Eagles take to the road for games with Tulane, Texas A&M, East Carolina, Alabama, Florida and LSU.

Southern Miss last played Virginia Tech during the 1992 season.
