COBAIN OUT OF COMA AFTER AN OVERDOSE

Kurt Cobain, lead singer of the rock band Nirvana, emerged from a drug-and-alcohol coma Saturday and was recuperating in a private hospital.

The 27-year-old Cobain was fully conscious and asked for a strawberry milkshake, his doctor said.

Dr. Osvaldo Galletta said that although Cobain's health appeared to rebound, he was still disoriented and having difficulty recalling events of the past few days. - Associated Press
