Susan Reynolds, Sinatra's spokeswoman, said he "became overheated and passed out for a few moments. Mr. Sinatra's vital signs are stable. He is talking and is alert."
Sinatra, 78, was taken to the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals by ambulance. He was wheeled into the emergency room on a gurney about 10:20 p.m.
A supervising doctor said Sinatra would be held overnight for observation. The hospital did not release Sinatra's condition.
"He had one or two songs left to go when he passed out," said Jody Hunsaker, a spokeswoman for the Richmond Mosque auditorium, where the concert was held.
Audience member Frank Trexler said Sinatra stopped during his rendition of "My Way" and asked for a chair. - Associated Press
