DUBLIN

Meredith Strohm, provost of the New College of Global Studies at Radford University, will speak Tuesday as part of Global Awareness Week being observed Monday through FridayMarch 14-18 at New River Community College. She will speak at 11 a.m. in Richardson Auditorium in Rooker Hall.

Strohm has extensive experience in global markets, higher education and technology. Before coming to Radford University, she was director of international services for Hunton and Williams, a Richmond-based law firm.

Global Awareness Week is aimed at fostering cultural awareness, said Samuel Olorounto, who chairs the college's International Education Committee.

Among other events, a panel discussion will be featured Thursday, 11 a.m.-noon, in the student lounge.
