CRAIG SETS DEADLINE FOR ASSESSMENT REVIEWS

Property owners in Craig County must apply for a review of new assessments of their property by May 30.

Applications for reviews must be made to the Craig Board of Equalization by that date to be considered, said Richard Flora, county administrator.

The equalization board must act on the requests by July 30.

Members of the board of equalization are Julian Zimmerman, Fred Looney and Charles L. Ross. Real estate assessments are used as a basis for setting the county's property tax.
