LOUISA MOVES INTO TITLE GAME

Robert Shelton scored 24 points Friday to lead Louisa to a 68-57 victory over Nansemond River in Charlottesville and a berth in the Group AA final of the Virginia High School League tournament.

Louisa (19-5) will face Salem (24-1) in today's championship game.

Louisa shot 59 percent from the floor in the first half on its way to a 33-25 lead. Nansemond River (18-6) shot 31 percent in the first half.

Louisa also got 11 points from Emmanuel Cashwell.

\ Meadowbrook 69, Petersburg 55: In Charlottesville, Jamaal Branch scored 23 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead Meadowbrook to a victory over Petersburg and a berth in the Group AAA final.

Meadowbrook (27-2) will play William Fleming in today's title game.
