TAKE BACK THE NIGHT RALLY MARCH 22

The fifth annual "Take Back the Night" rally and march will be held March 22 during Women's Week 1994 at Virginia Tech.

The candlelight march is to protest violence towards women and the attitudes, beliefs and behaviors that perpetuate it.

Particpants will gather on the Drillfield in front of Burruss Hall for the rally, which begins at 7:30 p.m. The march follows at 8 p.m.

In case of inclement weather, participants should gather at War Memorial Chapel.

Marchers are asked to bring candles or flashlights, and women, men and children are encouraged to march either as individuals or as part of a group.

The march is sponsored by the Women's Undergraduate Network, the Women's Week Coordinating Committee and other organizations.

Other organizations that would like to participate are asked to call 951-2013 or 231-8041 by March 20.
