3 PIONEER WEDDINGS TO BE HELD AT MUSEUM

Three pioneer-style weddings will be performed May 14 in the early 19th-century setting of Historic Crab Orchard Museum to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the state's "Virginia Is for Lovers" tourism slogan.

The 1 p.m. weddings will be part of the museum's annual Pioneer Festival, which includes re-enactments of drills and skirmishes of the French and Indian War and the Civil War, historical demonstrations by crafts people, and other activities authentic to the period.
