SYNAN ROLLS PERFECT GAME

His premonition was correct as he rolled his first 300 game and turned in a 642 series for Goodyear in the Commercial League.

"I got off work early and tried to get it mentally in place," he said.

Synan, a 23-year-old mechanic, had flirted with 300 before. He had bowled a 299 and two 279s.

"I started feeling it about the 11th frame," said Synan, who has been bowling for 12 years. "The 12th ball, I told myself just to calm down and throw it right.

"It feels good, everybody coming and congratulating me. I'm pleased with the way I rolled tonight."

After his 300 game, Synan had two games left to complete his series. He rolled a 182 and a 160.
