LEBANON VALLEY CAPTURES DIVISION III CHAMPIONSHIP

Scott Say sent the game into overtime with a tip-in at the buzzer, and Steve Zeiber made a long 3-pointer with 1:48 left Saturday as Lebanon Valley beat New York University for the NCAA Division III men's basketball championship.

It was the first title ever for Lebanon Valley (28-4), a 950-student school at Annville, Pa., that concluded its first 20-win season and fifth consecutive winning year after 17 losing ones.

Mike Rhoades scored 20, including seven of his team's 11 points in overtime. He shared the tournament MVP award with Adam Crawford, who scored 24 points for NYU (25-5).

Say and Phil Campbell had 10 points, and Zeiber finished with seven for Lebanon Valley.
