POETRY CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The Poetry Society of Virginia received 1,079 submissions by 451 poets for its 1993-`94 poetry contest. Regional winners are:

In the adult category: Becky Mushko, Katherine Stuart and Richard Raymond III; and B.R. Culbertson of Blacksburg. And in the children's category; Jennifer Ann Rankin and Ryan Oliver Jarratt of Salem; Heather M. Blankenship of Rocky Mount; Ashley Atkinson of Roanoke; and Rachel Ellis of Burnt Chimney.

$1,140 was awarded in the contest.
