Hillenbrand Industries Inc., Batesville, Ind., owner of Medeco Security Locks Inc. and an electronics division at Salem, on Tuesday reported unaudited results for the first quarter ended February 26.
Net income was $37.7 million, or 53 cents per share, up 12.3 percent from $33.6 million, or 47 cents, in the 1993 quarter. Net revenues were $377.4 million, up 8.3 percent from $348.4 million.

A.G. Edwards Inc., St. Louis-based securities broker operating an office in Roanoke, on Tuesday reported record revenues and net earnings for its fiscal year ended February 28.
Unaudited net earnings for the year were $154.9 million, or $2.57 per share, on revenues of $1.3 billion. For the previous fiscal year, net earnings were $119.4 million, or $2.07 per share, on revenues of $1.1 billion.
Net earnings for the quarter were $40.1 million, or 66 cents per share, on revenues of $322.1 million. For the year-earlier quarter, net earnings were $36.4 million, or 63 cents per share, on revenues of $305.7 million.
