David Lawhorn followed up on Wednesday night's 300 game at Hilltop Lanes rolled by Eddie Allman with one of his own at Lee-Hi Lanes on Thursday. It was Lawhorn's second perfect game of the year, his first coming in February.
By bowling in three summer leagues, Lawhorn said he was ready for the opening of the fall season in the Lee-Hi Rollers league. After a 202 in his first game, he was perfect through seven frames in his second game.
``I choked in the eighth frame,'' he said. ``But in the ninth frame of the third game, I felt I had a good shot [at 300].''
With his D.J. Inventory teammates - Richard Casey, Butch Wright and Mike Shupe - rooting him on, Lawhorn said he was able to keep his cool and concentrate on his game.
``My hands were shaking big time,'' said Lawhorn, 23, who has been bowling for seven years. ``One of my teammates helped me keep my mind on my bowling, and nothing distracted me after that.''
