Crosier, 66, was the owner of Crosier Landsales in Salem and a member of both the Roanoke and New River Valley boards of Realtors. He was also active in Democratic politics and civic organizations.
In the mid-1970s he bought the two-story wood and log house in which he was born in Elliston and moved his real estate business there.
Crosier, who dealt in real estate all over Southwest Virginia, was especially interested in selling to people who commuted between Roanoke and the New River Valley.
In 1990, he donated the house, located on the median strip of U.S. 460, to the Explore project for its re-creation of an old village.
Memorial contributions may be made in Crosier's name to the River Foundation, which will be used to restore the house.
