SO?!!

Another school year is under way (for some of you, the year began sooner than for others), and that means it's time for NewsFun to return to your Monday newspaper.

For those of you familiar with NewsFun, welcome back. If you're a new NewsFun reader, here's a little bit about the section. NewsFun is printed weekly, and the articles in it are written for you - pupils in elementary, middle and junior high schools.

Each week you'll be able to read stories of interest to kids your age and learn what kids around the Roanoke and New River valleys are doing and thinking. In addition, NewsFun offers cartoons and games; an advice column for kids; book, movie and video game reviews; and "Teacher of the Week," a feature that recognizes outstanding teachers.

"Word in the News" highlights a word you may hear in discussion or read in the newspaper, and "So?!!" informs you of special events and offers unusual tidbits of information.

"Mini Forum" is where we print your answers to a question asked each week. To respond to Mini Forum; to nominate a teacher for "Teacher of the Week"; to submit a book, movie, or video game review; or to let us know what's going on at your school, write to NewsFun, P.O.
