Jimmy Wayne Crook, 37, of McDivitt Road in Salem agreed to plead guilty as part of a plea agreement and is expected to begin his six-year sentence at a drug rehabilitation center. After he successfully completes the program, his sentence could be suspended, according to Commonwealth's Attorney M. Frederick King.
Crook was arrested July 18, after a clerk at the Village Store on East Main Street identified him as the man who pulled a knife on her, pushed her out of the store, grabbed her keys, then locked himself inside the store with 10 cans of beer.
