Susan Renee Crotts and Jeffrey Gray Deck were married December 31, 1993, in
Mt. View Christian Church. Rev. Jim Morris performed the ceremony. The
reception was held in the church fellowship hall. The maid of honor was Carla
Hazelwood, of Roanoke, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Michelle Johnson,
of Roanoke, Melanie Reynolds, of New Castle, and Sharon Woolridge, of Thaxton,
friends of the bride. Flowergirls were Caroline Deck, sister of the groom, and
Lori Crotts, niece of the bride. The best man was David Deck, father of the
groom. Ushers were Phillip Deck, brother of the groom, Randy Hayes, of
Roanoke, and Andy Boitnott, of Martinsville, friends of the groom. Ringbearer
was Joey Willis. The guestbook was attended by Patsy Meador, of Roanoke. The
bride is a daughter of Mrs. Brenda Custer, of Catawba, and Mr. Thomas S.
Crotts, Jr., of Moneta. She is granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William
Roberts, of Christiansburg, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas S. Crotts, Sr.,
of Salem. She graduated from Northside High School and is employed by Gentry
Locke Rakes & Moore. The bridegroom is a son of David and Barbara Deck, of
Roanoke. He is grandson of Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Deck, of Roanoke, and Mr. and
Mrs. S.H. Marshall, of Laurel Fork. He graduated from Northside High School
and is employed by Jarrett Electric Co. After the honeymoon at an undisclosed
location, the couple will reside in Catawba.
