Timothy Shelton of Bethesda, Md., served as best man. The ushers wereAnthony Janney of Salem, and Wesley Beckner of Vinton. All are friends of the groom. The ringbearer was Allen Horsley of Kissimmee, Fla., nephew of the bride.
The bride wore a gown of charmeuse with a cathedral train embellished with Alencon lace. The fitted bodice was highlighted with pearls and sequins. Shecarried a bouquet of poinsettias.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Witt of Roanoke. She isemployed by the Roanoke City Library System.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Stephens of Roanoke. Hereceived his B.A. from Roanoke College and his Master of Arts and Liberal Studies from Hollins College. He recentlyreceived his Master of Library Science Degree from the University of NorthCarolina. He is employed by the Roanoke City Library System and is the librarian at the Raleigh Court Library.
