RADIOS, OTHER GIFTS FROM MOOSE

The Christiansburg Volunteer Fire Department is going to outfit its new truck with the proper radio equipment, thanks to a $1,923 donation from the Montgomery County Moose Lodge.

The Moose Lodge members surveyed area town managers and town council members to determine the greatest need, and chose to donate money for communications equipment for the fire department.

Funds were raised from the lodge's bingo games and from local donations.

The lodge also delivered $1,100 worth of food to needy families during the holidays.
