OBIT DAVIS, RENA SANDIDGE

DAVIS, Rena Sandidge, 86, of Buena Vista, died at her home, Sunday, January 9, 1994. Born in Amherst County on April 17, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Sandy T. and Edith Kerr Sandidge. She was a member of the First Brethren Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Anthony Davis; a son, John Dudley Davis; a grandson, Patrick Davis. Surviving are a daughter, Betty Jarvis, Buena Vista; a son, Walter Elwood Davis, Buena Vista; two sisters, Thelma Patterson, Buena Vista, Ruby Kerr, Lynchburg; ten grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, at Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Truax officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lomax Funeral Home.
