CAVE SPRING BOYS TOP FRANKLIN COUNTY

Cave Spring got scoring from 11 players as the host Knights defeated Franklin County 85-69 on Wednesday night in Roanoke Valley District boys' basketball.

Matt Matheny scored 17 points to lead Cave Spring (6-6 overall, 2-0 in the district). James Irvin had 14 points and Jeff Lang added 12.

The Eagles' Carlos Holland led all scorers with 26 points. Chad Foutz chipped in 13, including three 3-pointers.
