HOSTS HAS MORE TIME FOR REQUIREMENTS

New River Valley HOSTS - the tourism promotion group - will have an extra three months to meet the Virginia Department of Economic Development's Tourism Accreditation Program requirements.

The program, which has nearly two dozen standards, is designed to organize communities for tourism development and promotion. So far, HOSTS has received approval for about half of them.

New River Valley HOSTS expects to complete the program in April.
