OBIT-MASON, CHERRIE FURR
MASON, Cherrie Furr, of Rt. 2, Box 193A, Hardy, died Friday, January 14,
1994 as the result of an automobile accident in Franklin Co. She was a Child
Protective Worker for Franklin County Dept. of Social Services and was a
graduate of Ferrum College. Surviving are her husband, W. F. (Bill) Mason Jr.,
Hardy; two daughters, Stacey Landers, Paris, France, Jessica Mason, Hardy; one
stepson, Shaw Mason, Roanoke; mother, Alma Furr, Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters,
Glenna Norton, Jackie D'Andrea, both of Atlanta, Ga.; mother and
father-in-law, W. F. (Bill) Sr. and Elizabeth Mason, Roanoke. Funeral services
will be conducted at Oakey's South Chapel 11 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Ward L.
Donat. Entombment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family suggests
memorials be made to the Roanoke City Rescue Mission. The family will receive
friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
