WALTERS, Henry Lewis Rev., 76, of Floyd, passed away Sunday January 16,
1994, in a Roanoke Hospital. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy
from 1940 until 1994. Where he served as Pastor and Evangelist for 46 years.
He served in the Armed Forces from Oct. 1941 until Nov. 1945. He is survived
by wife, Beulah S. Walters, Floyd, Va.; five sisters, Ora Nolley, Roanoke,
Va., Mildred Walters, Garnette Rose, Louise Austin all of Salem, Va., Gladys
Agee, Christiansburg, Va.; three brothers, James E. Walters, Salem, Va.,
Everette Walters, Roanoke, Va., Guy Walters, Salem, Va.; special child, Joshua
Melvin, Floyd, Va. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 19,
1994, at Gardner Funeral Home with Bishop Charles Stanley, Bishop Fred Fisher,
and the Rev. Claude Holderfield officiating. Interment will follow in the
Salem Church Cemetery ((Head of the River), Copper Hill, Va. Friends may call
after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be from 7
to 9 p.m.
