OBIT-FIREBAUGH, ALMA CHRISTINE PLOGGER
FIREBAUGH, Alma Christine Plogger, 64, of Lexington, died Sunday evening,
January 16, 1994, at her residence. She was born November 16, 1929, in
Rockbridge County, a daughter of Garnett A. (Robinson) Plogger, of Rockbridge
Baths and the late John E. (Burl) Plogger. Mrs. Firebaugh was employed with
the Rockbridge Regional Library as Head of Technical Services for over 20
years. She also spent 20 years with her husband in the military before
retiring to Rockbridge County. Mrs. Firebaugh was also a member of New
Monmouth Presbyterian Church. In addition to her mother, survivors include her
husband, Maj. Donald W. Firebaugh, U.S. Army (Ret.), Lexington; a son, Stephen
W. Firebaugh, Rockbridge County; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery E. and
Deanna M. Firebaugh, Albuquerque, N.M.; two grandchildren, Erica Dawn and
Hunter Walker Firebaugh, both of Albuquerque, N.M. Graveside services will be
conducted at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday,
January 19, 1994, with Rev. Wray Sherman officiating. After graveside
services, the family will receive friends at the Sunday school hall of New
Monmouth Presbyterian Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Rockbridge
Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, VA 24450. Williams Funeral Service,
Lexington, is in charge of arrangements.
