OBIT DOBYNS, JAMES EDWARD

DOBYNS, James Edward, 67, of Salem, died Saturday, January 15, 1994, in a Tampa, Fla. hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Campbell Dobyns; parents, Arthur C. and Della Kenny Dobyns and two brothers, Arthur C. Dobyns Jr. and Kenneth Dobyns. Survivors include his devoted wife, Lois Hickson Dobyns, two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael E. and Penny Dobyns, Salem, and Bobby L. and Susan P. Dobyns, Roanoke; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Debbie and Dennis Schoonover, Salem; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Ricky and Debbie Hickson, Salem, Michael and Patty Hickson, Roanoke, stepson, Timmy Hickson, Salem; three granddaughters and a number of stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Thursday at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Scott Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lotz Salem Chapel.
