OBIT GILMER, JOHN KELLY
GILMER, John Kelly, 76, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, January 18, 1994, in
Russell County Medical Center. He was a native of Matoaka, West Virginia, and
had lived in Lebanon over 40 years. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Brown
Gilmer, of the home; three daughters, Meg Gilmer, Charlottesville, Va.,
Charlotte Gilmer, Tazewell, Va., and Pam Gilmer, Roanoke, Va.; one son, Kelly
Gilmer, Lebanon; two sisters, Mrs. Louise G. Mast, Roanoke; Va. and Mrs.
Marcella Boland, Eureka, Missouri; one granddaughter, Katie Gilmer; and
daughter-in-law, Veronica Gilmer. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, in
the Lebanon Funeral Home Chapel with Father Tom Charters officiating. Burial
will follow in Russell Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Gilmer, C.
B. Yates, Frank Brown, Joe Gilmer, Kemp Gilmer, Franklin Gilmer, and Jim
Harvey. The body will remain at the Lebanon Funeral Home where the family will
receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made to your favorite charity. Lebanon Funeral Home is in
charge.
