OBIT PADBURY, MYRTLE LEE PERDUE
PADBURY, Myrtle Lee Perdue, 100, of Wytheville, died Tuesday, January 18,
1994, at the Birdmont Health Care Center. She was born in Pembroke, Va., the
daughter of the late George and Laura Williams Perdue. She was a member of the
Huntington Court Methodist Church and Past Matron of Williamson Road Chapter
#119, Order of the Eastern Star in Roanoke. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Walter Leslie Padbury. She is survived by two daughters and son-in
law, Frances P. McFarlane of Wytheville, Nancy P. and Calvin Moxley,
Chesapeake, Va; one son and daughter-in-law, W. L. and Ann Padbury, Rio Honda,
Tx; one brother, Lewis Perdue, Blue Well, W Va.; 12 grandchildren; 16
great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 12 noon at the Sherwood Memorial Park
Mausoleum Chapel in Salem, Va. with the Rev. Ann Blair and the Rev. Henry
Horton officiating. The body will lie in state from 11 to 12 noon at the
Chapel. The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home in
Wytheville, Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. Evansham Chapter #97 Order of the Eastern
Star will conduct a memorial service at 8:30 p.m. Barnett Funeral Home in
Wytheville is in charge of arrangements.
