AKERS, Richard, 55, of Hillsville, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 1994, at Radford Community Hospital. Born November 8, 1938, at McDowell County, W. Va. the son of John Howard Akers and Elizabeth Ann DeBoard Akers. Surviving are wife, Theda Elnora Akers, Richard M. Akers, Fancy Gap, Va., Michael R. Akers, Hillsville, Va.; one daughter, Tammy L. Lineberry, Hillsville, Va.; mother, Elizabeth Ann Cecil, Hillsville, Va.; two brothers, Jack Akers, Tampa, Fla, Doug Akers, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; sister, Illeen Williams, Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandsons, Steven Akers, Jamie Lineberry. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 22, 1994, 11 a.m. at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville, Va. with the Rev. Carl Forrester officiating. Burial in the Grand View Memory Gardens, Bluefield, Va. at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends Friday, January 21, 1994, from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville, Va.
