OBIT FIGGERS, KATE LOU BURCH

FIGGERS, Kate Lou Burch, 87, of Buena Vista, died Saturday, January 22, 1994, in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Mrs. Figgers was born January 1, 1907, in Amherst County, a daughter of the late Frank Burch and Emma Henson Burch. She was a member of the Oronoco Church of the Brethren. She was the widow of the Rev. Robert H. Figgers and was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Lou Heslep. Surviving are a daughter, Evelyn Lee Christian, McLean, Va.; a son, Robert L. Figgers, Buena Vista, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Davis, Oronoco, Va., Mrs. C. Y. Vest, Mrs. Lacy Coleman, both of Buena Vista, Va.; one brother, Bernard Burch, Buena Vista, Va.; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 1994, at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Figgers and the Rev. Linwood Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service, Buena Vista.
