OBIT LEONARD, PAUL W.

LEONARD, Paul W., 81, of Roanoke, died suddenly Friday night, January 21, 1994 in Daytona Beach, Fla. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Chruch, a former employee of American Viscose Co., and retired from the G.E. Company in Salem. Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by a son, Gary W. Leonard. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Robertson Leonard, Roanoke; nieces, Ann Watterson, Colo., Charlotte Harris, Ore.; and a nephew, Steve Hall, Catawba; two brother-in-laws, Robert Cobb of Roanoke and Clay Hall of Catawba. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Vinton Chapel 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Jerry L. Cloninger Jr. and the Rev. Howard A. Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials be made to the building fund of Mount Pleasant Baptist church or the Mount Pleasant Rescue Squad. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel after 12 noon Tuesday.
