OBIT JOHNSON, DARLENE CATRON
JOHNSON, Darlene Catron, 52, of Salem, died Monday, January 24, 1994 at
Lewis Gale Hospital. Born in Bedford Co., she was the daughter of the late
Robert Roscoe Catron. She was a dietary aide at the United Methodist Home in
Roanoke. She is survived by her mother, Mary Elizabeth Hayes; three daughters,
Judy Furrow, Salem, Linda Johnson, Catawba, Sharon Johnson, Barbara Jessee,
both of Salem; one half brother, Glenn E. Hayes, Roanoke; two sisters, Sylvia
Gray, Hopewell, Norma Faulkner, Roanoke; one grandson, William T. Henahan; two
granddaughters, Terah Johnson, Patricia Honaker; numerous nieces, nephews,
aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends. Funeral services will be conducted
1 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 1994 at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home,
Salem. Officiating services will be Dr. John W. Newman and Rev. Terry Mabrey.
Burial will be in the Barnhardt Baptist Church Cemetery in Stewartsville. The
family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the John M. Oakey &
Son Funeral Home, Salem.
