OBIT WITT, REBA OVERSTREET
WITT, Reba Overstreet, 81, of Longshop, died Saturday, January 29, 1994 at
the home of her daughter. Mrs. Witt was born in Bedford County, Virginia on
February 22, 1912, a daughter of the late Frank Lee and Norma Creasey
Overstreet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Owen Witt.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Warren Whetstone,
Richmond, Margaret and Franklin Pike, Amelia, Jean and Charles P. Davis,
Longshop; two sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin and Bessie Witt, Farmville,
Harold and Jean Witt, Radford; two sisters, Kate Upkike, Lynch Station, and
Helen Johnson, Bedford; two brothers, Elton Overstreet, Hurt, and Horace
Overstreet, Altavista; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three
stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 31,
1994, at the Church of God of Prophecy, Lynch Station, Va., with Mr. Bobby E.
Fuller and the Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Camp
Lowman Cemetery. Friends may call at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, after 3
p.m. Sunday, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
