OBIT SHEPHERD, SIDNEY H.

SHEPHERD, Sidney H., ("Shep"), 75, of Roanoke, passed away, Sunday, January 30, 1994, to be with the Lord. Mr. Shepherd was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church and was retired from Norfolk & Western Railway having worked in the Material Management Department. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Susie Mays Shepherd; a brother, Ira Shepherd, Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Mae Cox, Blacksburg. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Vinton Chapel Wednesday, February 2, 1994, 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jeff Crabtree officiating. Interment in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
