OBIT MOATZ, PEGGY BARBER

MOATZ, Peggy Barber, 71, of Roanoke, died Monday, January 31, 1994, at her residence. She was an operating room nurse and a retired floral designer, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Nurses Corp. Surviving are her son, Wallace William Moatz Jr. and wife, Norma, Boones Mill; daughter, Myra Leigh Worley and husband, Jim, Rocky Mount; two grandsons, Jay Worley, Rocky Mount and Will Moatz III, Boones Mill; one granddaughter, Misty Board and husband, Dale, Jacksonville, N.C. Funeral services will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Roanoke I Ward, 3808 Brandon Rd., S.W., 2 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 1994, with Bishop Robert Tonkinson Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
