SMITH, Lula J. Stovall, 64, of Patterson Ave., Rocky Mount, died Sunday,
January 30, 1994. She is survived by five daughters, Moira L. Smith, of the
home, Marchalle L. Smith, Houston, Texas, Mona S. Hairston, Rocky Mount,
Mignon L. Smith, of the home, Mia L. Smith, Roanoke; four sons, Michael L.
Smith, Rocky Mount, Monty L. Smith, Miami, Fla., Mark L. and Melvin L. Smith,
both of Roanoke; one sister, Rebekah S. Muse, Manhasset, N.Y.; one brother,
Dave Stovall, Rocky Mount; four grandsons; one great-grandson; three
sisters-in-law, Burnette S. Brooks, Alice S. Jones and Polly Stovall, all of
Rocky Mount; three brothers-in-law, Richard Smith, Melvin Brooks and Thomas
Jones, all of Rocky Mount; one aunt, Louise Slone, Akron, Ohio; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on
Thursday, 11 a.m., at Bethel A.M.E. Methodist Church, with the Rev. James
Elliston officiating. Friends may call at Stanfield Mortuary Chapel,
Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Byrd View Cemetery.
