JOHNSON, Margaret Fisher, 79, of Vinton, died Sunday, February 6, 1994, in
a local hospital, after a brief illness. She was the widow of Gilbert O.
Johnson. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn J. and Wilbert
K. Tester, Hardy, Gale J. and Donald K. Spriggs, Richmond; foster son and his
wife, Richard L. and Frances G. Barbour, Cloverdale; three grandsons, Kevin K.
Tester, Chicago, Ill., Gregory A. Tester, Hardy, and Creed O. Spriggs, Chapel
Hill, N.C.; one granddaughter, Catherine F. Spriggs, Oxford, Miss.; two
great-grandsons, Brandon and Ryan Tester; one foster granddaughter, Betty B.
West, Cloverdale; two foster great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rachel West.
Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the
Rev. Wm. Anthony Layman officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View
Cemetery, Vinton. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at
Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
