OBIT HOKE, GLENN

HOKE, Glenn, 78, of Covington, died Sunday morning, February 6, 1994 at his residence. He was born March 8, 1915 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Harry Hazel and Dora Johnson Hoke. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Hastings (Virgie) Hoke of Covington; a daughter, Erma Wehrenderg of Woodbridge, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Mary (Susie) and Gene E. Ayers of Trouvtville; son and daughter-in-law, Robert G. (Buzz) and Lisa Hoke of Covington; one grandson; six granddaughters; one great-grandson; one sister, Mrs. Edith Landrum of Salem; also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. from the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel, with the Dr. William M. Harris Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.
