OBIT BARTON, LEWIS IRVING
BARTON, Lewis Irving, of Roanoke, died Sunday, February 6, 1994. He was
retired from Norfolk & Western Railway, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World
War II. Surviving are his wife, Edna Lindsey Barton; a son and
daughter-in-law, Phillip L. and Vickey Barton; a daughter, Kathryn B.
Loughlin; a son, Russell I. Barton and fiancee, Michelle Cothren, all of
Roanoke; his mother, Kathleen Gunnett; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara
and Stan Graves, all of Columbus, Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard
and Betty Barton, Roanoke; five grandchildren, Sierra Paige Loughlin, Miles
Lewis Loughlin, Raynor Todd Barton, Amber Lindsey Barton, and Christopher
Scott Cothren. Services will be at Oakey's North Chapel 1 p.m. Wednesday. The
Rev. Mark Washington will officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge
Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m.
and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
Williamson Road Rescue Squad or the American Heart Association. Arrangements
by Oakey's North Chapel.
