LOVE MEANS CREATIVELY SAYING SORRY

See Barb.

See Dick.

Barb and Dick are married.

See Dick forget to get his wife a gift for Christmas this year.

Uh-oh.

Dick is bad.

Bad Dick!

See Dick in the dog house.

See Dick call Bill Houck of Lamar Advertising.

See Dick spend $300 to get out of the dog house.

"We usually get requests for billboard messages related to birthdays and\ anniversaries," said Houck.

"This is our first romantic apology billboard."

It's at the intersection of Garst Mill Road and Brambleton Avenue, near\ the Kroger at Cave Spring Corners.

You can't miss it. Neither could Barb.

It reads:

Barb,

Merry Christmas!

Sorry for being such a jerk.

I love you,

Dick

"I don't know anything more about the story, except that he definitely had egg on his face," said Houck.

"He seemed very humbled by the whole experience."

Neither Barb nor Dick could be reached for the gory details, but Houck says Dick was very happy with the billboard.

"He says it worked like a champ."

Dick's public apology billboard to Barb was rented for one week.

But it will remain there for Dick, Barb, and the world to see until the space is sold again.
