OBIT WATKINS, VIRGINIA ROSS

WATKINS, Virginia Ross, 85, of Bedford, died Friday, February 11, 1994 in a local nursing home. She was born March 25, 1908 in Lignite, Va. and was the last member of the family of Antonio D. and Cora Givens Ross. She was also predeceased by her husband of 55 years Edwin T. Watkins. She was a retiree of Western Union and was a member of Bedford Presbyterian Church. She is survived by four generations of nieces and nephews including, Ross Rosazza of Bedford. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, February 27, 1994 at 12:30 p.m. following the Sunday morning worship service with the Rev. Francis B. Avery officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Clemson, S.C. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bedford Christian Ministeries Building Fund. Friends may call at the residence of Ross Rosazza, 1554 Newton Circle on Sunday, February 13, 1994 from 3 to 5 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Carder-Tharp Funeral Home and Cremetory, Bedford.
