OBIT GRAVES, JAMES ARTHUR SR.

GRAVES, James Arthur Sr., 45, of Lexington, died Friday, February 11, 1994 in the Lewis-Gale Hospital, Salem. He was born in Rockbridge County February 15, 1948. He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes McClung Graves. He was a machinist with Burke, Parsons and Bolby of Goshen and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Daphne Harlow Graves; two sons, James A. Graves Jr., Charlotte, N.C., Michael E. Graves, at home; one daughter, Angela K. Graves, West Palm Beach, Fla.; a father; two brothers; and six sisters. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Robert Leonard at the Lomax Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
