OBIT-DEAN, DELOIS MARIE

DEAN, Delois Marie, 59, of Pearisburg, passed away Friday, February 11, 1994. She departed this life at Community Hospital in Roanoke. She was born December 14, 1934 in Pearisburg, Va. She was preceded in death by a son and a brother. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Virginia Heights, Pearisburg, Va. She leaves to mourn her devoted husband, George Dean, of the home; her foster mother, Pauline House of Pearisburg; one daughter, Alma Deloris Dean of Radford; one son, Douglas Leon Dean of Tokoma, Wash.; a foster son, Tony Eugene Peoples of Johnson City, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary George Freeman of Washington, D.C., and Lillian Harris of Pearisburg; two brothers, Willie Slash Jr., Lima, Ohio, and Samuel House of Pearisburg; seven grandchildren; one foster granddaughter; a very special and devoted friend, Esther Hill of Pearisburg; and a great host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 1994 in the First Baptist Church, Virginia Heights, Pearisburg, with the Rev. Michael L. Bratton officiating. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park at Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke, Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
