OBIT WILSON, DEBORAH BARTLETT
WILSON, Deborah Bartlett, 101, of Roanoke County, died Monday, February 14,
1994, she went to be with the Lord. Mrs. Wilson was born in Carroll County on
August 12, 1892, and lived in Grayson County and Bluefield, Va. prior to
moving to Roanoke in 1956. She was a member of Longview United Methodist
Church in Grayson County. She was the widow of Robert J. Wilson and was
preceded in death by her sons, Herbert and Forrest Wilson and her daughter,
Ila Neal. Surviving are a daughter, Vera W. Rude, Roanoke County; a sister,
Minnie B. Delp, Galax; a brother, Foy Bartlett, Burlington, N.C.; her
grandchildren, James M. Wilson, Pomeroy, Ohio, Dr. Robert Rude and wife,
Natalie, Kimberly Dyson and her husband, Allen, all of Roanoke; four
great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Jack Neal, Roanoke Co.; several nieces and
nephews and a special friend, Helen Asimakopoulos. Funeral services will be
held at the graveside in Sherwood Memorial Park Thursday, February 17, 11 a.m.
with Terry Hodge with Vinton Church of Christ officiating. Friends may call at
Oakey's South Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday 7 to 8:30
p.m.
