OBIT DALE, CARRIE ELIZABETH

DALE, Carrie Elizabeth, 80, of Roanoke, formerly of Lexington, died Wednesday, February 16, 1994 at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Dale was born in Rockbridge County on May 18, 1913 a daughter of the late George Washington nd Maggie Alberta Thorne Emore. She was the widow of Ollie Dale and a member of the Lauderdale A.R.P. Church, Lexington. Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie Harding, Spotsylvania, Virginia Tierny, Roanoke, Betty Cardwell, Roanoke, six sons, Jimmy Sweet, Lexington, David Sweet, Lexington, George Sweet, Lexington, Richard Sweet, Buena Vista, John Sweet, Lexington, Bobby Sweet, Lexington; a brother, Hamm Emore, Lexington; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 19, 1994 at 2 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Zeb Carson Williams officiating with burial to follow in the Alone Mill Cemetery, Lexington. The family will receive friends Friday night from 7 to 8 at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
