CHILDREN'S CENTER WILL HONOR GRANDPARENTS

ArtVenture: A Children's Center will hold Grandparents' Day on March 5 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Art Museum of Western Virginia in Roanoke's Center in the Square.

Open to grandparents, parents and students, the event will include a book-signing by exhibiting artist and author Suanne Kelley Kopald of Lexington, author of children's book ``Serina's First Flight.''

There also be guided tours of ``Every Picture Tells a Story,'' an exhibit of original paintings for children's books; an introduction to the Art-in-Action room; and illustration workshops led by artist Steve Stinson and writer Rebekah Woodie. Refreshments will be served.
